I'm going to cry. I spent forever, by forever I do mean forever on this today.

I don't do realism to often, and when I do it takes me forever because i get really scared of doing the face. Luckily the reference picture of Miyavi I chose he was wearing sunglasses, so the eyes were taken care of...but that left the nose and mouth.

Be prepared for a long description of the horror I went through starting......now.

All right. I've wanted to draw Miyavi for awhile now, and since i found out about him going to Acen I REALLY got in gear and wanted to draw him.

I took forever to find a picture I really thought I could work from, a lot of them out there are blurry you know? But I found the one much like this and worked with it to the best of my ability.

I'm no *lockjaw or any other fantastic realism artists out there, but slowly i'm learning. Slowly being the key word. It's obvious where I've messed up, but I tried to fix things. I'm just tired.

Like for example on his right hand, I forgot to draw in one of his rings -_- and you know what? I decided.....screw it he doesn't need it. I'm tired of drawing it. The other two rings pissed me off and they didn't even come out right ; ;

Now honestly, I will tell you the hardest part of this thing was all the damn WHITE. Why was I idiotic enough to attempt something like this? I will NEVER know. and I will never do it again gah. I bitched to my friend Jei about it for a good hour or so. It's complicated, and where i tried using the smudge tool on the hood part of the blue from his hair mixed cause I idiotically did those both on the same damn layer! *shoots self*

Then there was the nose....amazingly enough I think that was the easiest feature of the face. X_x and usually it's the lips for me...

But oh NO this time it was the mouth....of damn horror with the teeth. GAH. The teeth look moldy to me *bashes head in* What about you moldy Miyavi teeth anyone?! *sigh* The lip ring was fun to doodle though, and I don't think I made the blending of colors on his lips to well.

The sunglasses could use improvement i know....but i tried right? That's all that matters. Because this is a finished piece.

I tried to make the hands the best to my ability like the original. But sadly...hands are part of my downfall in anatomy though they HAVE gotten faintly better over this year. I'm not pleased with the finger with the blue ring on it. nope. I think the shading on the other hand is a tad awkward too..

I tried my best though. And all in all as gruesome as it was, as bad as it may look...it's okay in..my eyes. Okay being graded on a 1-10 level at a 4.

Easiest part you ask? THE HAIR.

Now I remember why I've only done two other colored realisms. *twitch*
